This week was much more admin focused than usual. I’m between writing projects and the current one (scifi for BSQ) requires some additional worldbuilding/culture building, so I’m taking my time with that.

Instead, my focus was on things like cover art for next year’s short story publishing, scheduling my next Vampire serial in December on the website, and finally launching the membership on the website, too. I’ve established a Perks page to summarize and centralize all the free fiction and other goodies members have access to.

I lost a workday to a doctor visit (just my annual physical) oh and I lost Monday due to some crazy noise overnight that kept us up for hours. That turned out to be a new dog next door! I ended up reading a book instead: Wolfwalker by Tara K. Harper. A DelRay book. It’s good, I recommend it. I read it in one day 😉

I have a stack of non-fiction beside me on the couch for this weekend, mostly about falconry/birds of prey, though one bat book snuck in.

I’ve also started moving through one of WMG’s lectures: The Decade Ahead. It’s a year-long course that was recorded and posted last year, but I just picked it up. I went through the January videos this week.

Next week I’m going to finish my outline for this scifi and get back into words!
