Friday Update 2/14/25
This week I’ve made great progress on a new short story for the Uncollected anthology series. This is a group of amazing authors who get together and release a fantasy/urban fantasy anthology 3x/year on a theme. I’m about 2k away from the end of this. It’ll get wrapped up next week.
Continued work on the backlist audio project and checked another two short stories off that list. I also corrected some publishing from WAY back in the dawning era when I went wide from Amazon. Some of my short stories didn’t make it onto all of the stores because I was still figuring out which stores to upload to (I send my books to all of them now, but it took a little while to get there).
In addition, the first volume of the Hellebore Vampires series will be getting its kickstarter shortly! I use kickstarter as a pre-sales platform, not as a funding platform. As you can see, the books have covers and such already. They’re written, proofed, and formatted. Kickstarter is a way for me to get more eyeballs on the work and it’s the only way I currently offer signed books (paper/hardback). They are just not worth the effort for me otherwise. But all that to say backing a kickstarter for me is very low risk, the books are already done, they just need to be shipped to you.

Here’s a little teaser for you. I’ll be sharing the “notify me!” link shortly–probably next week–but there’s still a lot of building to do on the back end.
I haven’t made progress on the hellebore illustration this week, which I usually work on after the work day is done. My evenings have been busy recently. That’ll be a priority this coming week.
I somehow managed to clear out all the admin tasks I had waiting for February, which is just so weird for me. I’m delighted, but it’s odd. I want to capitalize on that next week by taking a chunk out of the March tasks and start really getting ahead of things.
